AGK 3-Day September School holiday Clinic
AGK is offering a 3-day goalkeeping clinic this September school holidays from 8:00 am – 12:00 pm on Tuesday 23, Wednesday 24, and Thursday 25 September.
Principal of AGK and current professional goalkeeper, Matt Acton, is leading his team of coaches to deliver a truly memorable clinic.
The clinic is open to goalkeepers of all skill levels aged between 9–16. The clinic will focus on goalkeeping-specific training sessions targeting game-like situations,
as well as educational sessions specific to the position, and professional insights into the demands of the role from Matt Acton, who has been a professional goalkeeper for the past 17 years.
The clinic will be fun, encouraging, inspiring, and challenging — designed to bring out the best in all participating goalkeepers.

AGK Principal and Head Coach, Matt Acton is passionate about helping young goalkeepers in Queensland realise their dreams by unlocking their potential through a specific, challenging, safe, and fun environment. With over a decade of experience in the Isuzu UTE A-League, Matt's professional football career continues with Lions FC, who compete in the National Premier Leagues Queensland competition.
Having won multiple A-League Championships, Premiers Plates, and an FFA Cup, Matt knows firsthand what it takes to become and, more importantly, remain a professional goalkeeper. The former Australian U20's Representative has had a stellar career, playing in three different countries as well as representing his club in the Asian Champions League and AFC Cup. There is not much that Matt has not experienced firsthand as a professional goalkeeper.
Having graduated the Queensland Academy of Sport Men's Football Program in his mid-teens, Matt is excited to be able to support young goalkeepers in their football journey by providing a professional environment for goalkeepers of various levels to learn, enjoy and master the goalkeeping position.
Matt is an FA-accredited coach who enjoys working with like-minded goalkeepers to provide a developmental pathway for goalkeepers in Queensland and is excited to be able to provide the same opportunities as he was afforded.
